Is it really unhealthy not to forgive someone who wronged you? Coming from a very religious background and a society like Nigeria, I am expected to agree and preach the importance of forgiveness. I am going to disappoint a lot of people by saying I do not agree.

Have you heard of Breast Ironing? This especially common among certain Africans? I admit this is a new one for me. To think that this is a very common practice in Cameroon, a close neighbour of Nigeria- my home country- and I am completely in the dark is not just a wonder but troubling too. That goes to show you that we learn every day.

Many of us can remember what it felt like to be left out, especially in our impressionable years. I remember doing some really silly things to make others like and accept me. Making the right impression on my peers was so important to me that I will do almost anything to keep their friendship.

Having a certificate is just a demonstration that you can learn. It is not end all or be all. It is good to be educated. But don’t forget it is not a replacement for common sense. Also, not all education is obtained in classrooms. So please broaden your mind.

I am an African by birth and by my whole being. I absolutely love my Africanness. It is in me. Just as I love my country of birth, Nigeria. I am a true Nigerian and African in all ramifications. But I refused to support or endorse bad behaviours just to show solidarity for Africans or the Black Race.
