Castile soap is made from a variety of vegetable oils rather than animal fat like most soaps. It is completely biodegradable and cruelty-free.
Some Castile soaps come in bars or in liquid form. I am very familiar with the liquid form and that is the type I refer to in this write-up.
Castile soap comes plain with no fragrance. You can use it as it is or you can add other active ingredients to your fancy and requirements. If you have sensitive skin or you want to use it on babies, it is best to use it as it is.
